Texas Trustees Holding Annual Public Meeting on September 11, 2025

The Deepwater HorizonTexas Trustee Implementation Group is hosting their annual public meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to discuss their progress and plans for restoring the natural resources injured by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Texas Restoration Area. The meeting will be an open-house format and a great opportunity for conversations between community members and the Trustees. Potential discussion topics include updates on sea turtle projects, McFaddin beach restoration, Follets Island restoration, and the Final Restoration Plan #3 among other Texas Trustee activities.

  • Location: Texas State Aquarium — 2710 N. Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78402

The Texas Trustee Implementation Group is composed of representatives from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas General Land Office, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Department of the Interior, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Trustees will be available for those interested in asking questions or discussing the meeting topics further.
