The Open Ocean Trustee Implementation Group held their annual meeting on October 19, 2023. The trustees provided an annual update on the status of funding and progress on restoration planning and projects. More than 40 people attended the meeting.
The presentation included highlights from our most recently approved Restoration Plan 3, which includes bird restoration projects in the Caribbean, the northeastern United States of America, and eastern Canada. We provided an update on the status of our next Restoration Plan, including an overview of the 83 project ideas submitted by the public. Finally, we reported on the progress of several new monitoring and adaptive management activities.
