Coastal Restoration Effects on Inshore, Nearshore and Offshore Ecological Condition
The project will implement a multi-year, phased activity to plan and develop an approach leveraging the applicable, standardized U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Coastal Condition Assessment protocols as well as fisheries population and food web evaluation protocols.
Results Available from Sea Turtle Bycatch Project
Sea turtles were among the many marine species in the Gulf of Mexico that were significantly impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. All five species of sea turtles found in the Gulf experienced harm across all life stages impacting their populations for years after the spill.
